Red Right Hand POttery
My ceramics work is primarily crafted in stoneware. I incorporate vintage slip cast forms with hand thrown vessels that are functional as well as whimsical.
The name “Red Right Hand” comes from John Milton’s 1667 poem Paradise Lost. Milton refers to the avenging hand of god as a “red right hand” and the imagery is reflected in one of my inspirations, hand sculptures and slipcasts. Additionally, my initials are DEO, which is latin for god, and I’m right handed so it’s an amusing double meaning for my brand.
